Data Retention and Deletion
Version: 2 October 2026
This page summarises how long we keep which data. The Privacy Notice is controlling.

Once the book has been delivered you can delete them yourself in your account at any time | corrections, reprint and statutory remedies |
| Characters you saved yourself under “My characters” (photograph, recording, generated images) | until you delete the character or your account | use in further orders |
| Finished digital content (narrated pages, page videos, app content) | as long as your customer account exists or until you ask us to delete it | customer access |
| Account/profile | until account deletion unless retention is legally required | account service |
| Invoice/order records | ten years from the end of the calendar year of the order (section 147 AO, section 257 HGB) | accounting and evidence |
| Support/complaints | three years from the end of the year in which the matter was closed (sections 195, 199 BGB); six years for commercial or business correspondence (section 257 HGB, section 147 AO) | handling and legal defence |

Request deletion
Email [email protected] and include the account email and order number. We may require evidence of authority to protect children and third parties.
Information that may remain
Certain invoice, payment, security or legal-defence information may have to be retained. It is restricted and used only for the remaining purpose.
Processors and backups
We also have data deleted at our processors, in particular the voice replica held by the AI provider. Immediate removal from every backup is not always possible; restored information is deleted again and not returned to use.
